I’m training for the Rock & Roll Half Marathon in Portland in mid-May. I’ve been trying a few different ways to
get back in shape post-baby with little success so I decided to think
outside the box (or gym, in this case).
I’m using this training schedule, where you run five times a
week and usually do your longer runs on the weekend. Brent and I are running together on the weekends and he is in charge of pushing the stroller. If this keeps up, I think we will need to get a real jogging
stroller, like this one.
4 important running lessons I've learned thus far:
- If it is 50 degrees you do not need to run in a hat, gloves and waterproof shell. You will be way. too. hot.
 - If you are going to shower after your run in your office locker room, it is helpful to have a towel.
 - A hairclip and concealer really isn’t enough to get you back to being presentable for an afternoon full of meetings. This goes along with lesson #2. I'm learning how to be more prepared.
 - The Nike Run app is my new best friend.
