Love is in the air.


Valentine's Day is next week!

Last year to celebrate Carson and I hand-delivered Valentine cards to my dad, brother and future sister-in-law at their offices downtown. He wore a bow tie onesie that I purchased on Etsy from Angel Brook Creations.


This year I bought him the shirt below, also from Etsy. It is totally normal to buy your son something that expresses his love for you, right? Right. I figured it could get repeat use on Mother's Day. Happy holidays to me!



Every year, Brent and I make this amazing crab dish. It is buttery, with tons of garlic (really romantic), and the perfect meal to linger over. I suggest doubling the sauce and don't forget to serve with with crusty sourdough bread. Dunking the bread in the sauce is kind of the best part.


We like enjoy it with a nice sauvignon blanc (this is my current favorite) and finish the meal with a glass of red wine and something densely chocolatey that I can make the night before, like this Chocolate Glazed Tart.
